By August 21, 2007, SPT successfully established a new entity in Hong Kong, named Saigon Postel Hong Kong Limited with Certificate of Incorporation No. 1160332 and the Business Registration Certificate No. 38308535-000-08-07-01. Mr Pham Ngoc Tuan, President of SPT is the Managing Director of this 100% owned subsidiary. Hong Kong is the first choice of SPT to be a start as it has been an international telecom hub for over 100 years.
Together with the substantial investment in the AAG submarine cable project which links South East Asia to the US and which can be extended to connect to other major systems, the foundation of a local company in Hong Kong expresses SPT’s commitment to better serve its customers by having better links to major regional commercial centers.
