May 2008-SPT announced that it obtained the First Statement of Grant of Protection from the Office for Harmonization in The Internal Market (OHIM). The Grant of Protection is valid from October 5, 2007. There are 4 classes of goods/services filed and accepted: classes 35, 36, 38 and 39. This international registration was put on the official publication on September 17, 2007.
The protection from OHIM is just one of the achievements of SPT's efforts in registering its trademark under Madrid Protocol. SPT's trademark was also granted the protection by WIPO, by IP Australia and by IPD in Hong Kong within the first half of 2008.
